DOUBLEHEADER WEEKEND – CUP SHOWDOWN AT HOME AND A TOUGH ROAD TRIP!
An exciting weekend lies ahead for the Crocodiles Hamburg! Two games in two days, two challenging matchups, and plenty of ice hockey action: On Friday, we welcome FASS Berlin for a cup clash before heading straight to the Schönheider Wölfe on Saturday.
Friday: Cup Night Against FASS Berlin
On Friday at 8:00 PM, a very special matchup awaits our Crocodiles in the OsWeNo Cup. FASS Berlin, the former team of our head coach Christopher Scholz, is coming to Hamburg. Scholz coached the Berlin side for five years and led them to three consecutive championships. Needless to say, Christopher knows this opponent extremely well.
Following our convincing 6–3 home victory over the Weserstars Bremen, our boys are determined to build on that strong performance and, with the right preparation, secure another win. However, FASS Berlin will present a tough challenge, demanding full commitment from the very first minute.
Now it's YOUR turn! Come to the rink, bring the noise, and support our Crocos as they fight for their next victory!
Tickets are available online or directly at the box office on game night!
Saturday: Long Road Trip to the Schönheider Wölfe
There won't be much time to catch our breath. Early Saturday morning, our Crocodiles will hit the road again, heading east. A tough challenge awaits in the Ore Mountains, where we will face the Schönheider Wölfe.
The Wolves have made a strong start to the season, winning their first three league games. However, they recently suffered a 9–4 defeat against the Harzer Falken in Braunlage. Our Crocos, meanwhile, will arrive with confidence following their 6–3 victory over Bremen.
This matchup also has an interesting history: The last meetings between Schönheide and Hamburg took place during the 2005/06 season. Back then, Schönheide won both encounters – 15–4 in Hamburg and 9–3 on home ice. Now, more than 20 years later, these two teams will finally face each other again.
For our team, the key will be managing their energy after Friday's cup game and staying focused right from the opening faceoff, even on the road.
Puck drop is scheduled for Saturday at 5:00 PM at the Wolfsbau.
