CHRISTOPHER SCHOLZ

Christopher Scholz takes over as the new Head Coach of the Crocodiles Hamburg. Born in Berlin, Scholz knows the game from nearly every perspective. Over the years, he made a lasting impact on FASS Berlin as a player, administrator, and coach, becoming one of the club's defining figures.

His playing career saw him suit up for FASS Berlin, and after retiring from the ice, he remained with the organization in a variety of roles. Over the course of 15 years, Scholz contributed to the club in numerous capacities, steadily developing into one of the most successful coaches in Berlin ice hockey.

In 2021, he was appointed Head Coach of FASS Berlin. What followed was the most successful era in the club's history. Under his leadership, FASS Berlin captured the Regionalliga Ost championship three consecutive times (2024, 2025, and 2026). Remarkably, every full season Scholz completed as head coach ended with a league title, establishing him as the architect of one of the league's great success stories.

He also became the longest-serving head coach in FASS Berlin's history, building a team that consistently competed at the top of the Regionalliga. Accordingly, the club described his departure as the end of the most successful era in its history.

With Christopher Scholz, the Crocodiles Hamburg welcome an ambitious coach who stands for continuity, player development, and competitive success. His experience as both a player and coach, combined with his proven winning mentality, makes him an exciting addition behind the Crocodiles' bench.
