Dominik Samrei is one of the promising young players to emerge from Hamburg's own hockey development system. Born in 2005, he took his first steps in the sport with the Hamburg Sailors before continuing his development through the youth academy of the Crocodiles Hamburg.

Samrei gained valuable experience at both the U20 and senior levels at an early stage of his career, impressing with his work ethic, versatility, and team-first attitude.
