Ten Regionalliga Clubs Enter the OsWeNo Cup

Ten Regionalliga Teams Enter the OsWeNo Cup

Following a successful inaugural season, the OsWeNo Cup returns for its second edition. Once again, participating teams can look forward to an exciting competition featuring plenty of attractive matchups.

In addition to the nine teams that competed in last season's tournament, the 2026/27 OsWeNo Cup welcomes the Grizzlys Bergkamen as a new participant, bringing the total number of competing teams to ten.

The competition will once again be played using a Champions League-style format. Each team will play four preliminary-round games. The schedule has been carefully designed to ensure sporting fairness and balance:

  • Each team will play two home games and two away games.
  • Every team will face four different opponents.
  • Teams will not play against clubs from their own league or group.
  • Bonus games that have already been played will not be repeated.

At the end of the preliminary round, all teams will be ranked in a single overall standings table based on the results of their four games.

The top four teams will qualify for the final stage. Both the semi-finals and the final will be played in a two-game aggregate series (Best-of-Two / Bo2). The winners of the semi-finals will advance to the OsWeNo Cup Final to compete for the trophy.

To avoid scheduling conflicts with the regular league season and the subsequent playoffs, both the semi-finals and the final will be held in January. This allows all qualified teams to focus fully on the decisive stages of their respective league campaigns.
